اسی کے ہاتھ سے ہونا ہلاک چاہتا ہے

فسانہ گو بھی کرے کیا کہ ہر کوئی سر بزم

مآل قصۂ دل دردناک چاہتا ہے

ادھر ادھر سے کئی آ رہی ہیں آوازیں

اور اس کا دھیان بہت انہماک چاہتا ہے

ذرا سی گرد ہوس دل پہ لازمی ہے فرازؔ

وہ عشق کیا ہے جو دامن کو پاک چاہتا ہے

मिसाल-ए-दस्त-ए-ज़ुलेख़ा तपाक चाहता है

ये दिल भी दामन-ए-यूसुफ़ है चाक चाहता है

दुआएँ दो मिरे क़ातिल को तुम कि शहर का शहर

उसी के हाथ से होना हलाक चाहता है

फ़साना-गो भी करे क्या कि हर कोई सर-ए-बज़्म

मआल-ए-क़िस्सा-ए-दिल दर्दनाक चाहता है

इधर उधर से कई आ रही हैं आवाज़ें

और उस का ध्यान बहुत इंहिमाक चाहता है

ज़रा सी गर्द-ए-हवस दिल पे लाज़मी है 'फ़राज़'

वो इश्क़ क्या है जो दामन को पाक चाहता है
